Résumé

Despite the number of works highlighting the movement of writers and texts beyond the changing borders of France, the history of French literature has been inscribed in an essentially national narrative framework since the Third Republic. This article intends to respond to this methodological nationalism by writing a multiscalar history of French literature that might vary the scales and deconstruct the linear narrative.
