Résumé

This contribution aims to propose a reflection about the notion of archipelago by adopting a comparative approach. The notion of archipelago will be used to analyse how three authors intend and reshape identity construction through an original exploration of memory's issues. How could memory be kept between understanding and opacity? How from this double assumption could emerge the notion of relic, which allows to appreciate opacities in literary texts? Texts' opacity together with subjective opacity lead to a new pact based on a collective memory. While under the way, we question poetic philosophical propositions by Edouard Glissant concerning their input to comparative practices, in particular about a new position held by researchers whose action becomes more emotional.
