Résumé | Amiodarone is a medicine frequently prescribed to treat impaired cardiac conduction, both atrial and ventricular. Its use exposes patients to numerous adverse effects, notably thyroid disorders which can aggravate underlying cardiovascular disease. When dispensing the medication, the pharmacist must take this into account in order to identify any signs suggestive of such disorders and to ensure the effective clinical follow-up of the patient.
