Teenage Bodies in Spanish Cinema, 1982-1998

This article proposes an overview of teenagers' representations in Spanish cinema during the socialists' governments between 1982 and 1998. After the claim for freedom representative of the Transition period, in which the teenager had often an adult's autonomy, the teenage body of the later period rather displays a range of frustrated desires on screen. It is also a wounded body due to all sorts of excesses, drugs or pictures abuse, maybe a ghost and a fantasy more than a body, since it never succeeds to represent the revolution that adolescence is (or should be).
