Résumé

Whole brain radiation therapy is the angular stone of the brain metastasis radiation therapy. This treatment allows reaching two goals, potentially curative for in place metastasis and prophylactic in the rest of brain tissue. However, these two advantages can be disputed and in light of the same data opposite conclusions could be drawn. (C) 2015 Societe francaise de radiotherapie oncologique (SFRO).
