Résumé

Regional pediatric palliative care teams were created in France to improve the palliative approach of caregivers who care for children in palliative situation. These teams have to diffuse the palliative culture. This action may raise tensions between the palliative care development policy and a singular care practice, which is child-centered. Based on the work of Carol Gilligan who described this tension due to the practices of `'care'' since 1982, this article explains how this tension is unsurpassable and how the French politician can takeit. Responding to the republican principle of equal access to health care, the regional pediatricpalliative care teams are then thought of as actors in a health policy ensuring access to pediatricpalliative care in a given territory.
