Résumé

Imaging is now a pivotal tool for the management of patients with solid tumors. Imaging could assess the effectiveness of the treatment. Owing to the development of PET combine with CT, it seemed important to review morphological and metabolic tools for daily practice in cancer evaluation. Today, the most widely used morphological criteria in general oncology are the RECIST 1.1 criteria, based on CT assessment, but with several limitations. Therefore, other criteria have been developed as the Immune-Related Response Criteria for immunotherapies. Concerning metabolic evaluation, interpretative criteria have also been available since 1999 (EORTC criteria) and 2009 (PERCIST criteria), with their own methodologies. Finally, specific criteria are used for prostate cancer based on bone scan. This article reviews these different tools and their complementarities. (C) 2017 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.
