Résumé | Deep brain stimulation as a treatment option. Deep brain stimulation is one of the treatment options available for motor fluctuations in patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease. This treatment is only considered in cases of disabling symptoms despite optimal treatment in subjects under 70 years of age. The main targets are the subthalannic nucleus, the intermediate nucleus of the thalamus and the internal pallidum. (C) 2020 Elsevier masson SAS. All rights reserved. |
