Résumé

This article provides a definition and a description of the occupational activities of dieticians and nutritionists (DNs) involved in the management of patients presenting one or more food allergies (FA). Further to meetings between these DNs, a working group (WG) was set up. Under the aegis of the French Society of Allergology (FSA), the Allergodiet WG brings together French-speaking DNs from various professional areas (health establishments, local authorities, etc.) involved in FA management. The WG has developed two key work topics: nutritional management of patients presenting FA and improvement of collective catering conditions based on the legal requirements governing allergen labelling. Allergodiet draws up recommendations alongside other WGs within the SFA, in particular FA WGs, school allergy WGs and GRETAA (a WG for Patient Therapeutic Education in FA). Allergodiet aims to become a reference resource in FA management. Our WG has begun designing a set of practical tools (e.g. advice on avoidance, food equivalence documents, etc.) to improve day-to-day FA management. These tools will be updated regularly in accordance with scientific advances and new regulations. (C) 2020 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.
