Résumé

We report the diagnosis of bulbar ALS after a catastrophic hyperkaliemia following administration of succinylcholine. The patient required hospitalization in intensive care unit with a severe acute respiratory infection. He described a generalized deterioration, dysphagia and dysphonia for several months. The diagnosis of neuromuscular disease was delayed until the patient presented a catastrophic hyperkaliemia after administration of a depolarizing neuromuscular curare.
