Résumé

This work will show how a subject chose SK8 (sk-eight = skate-board) to face new anxieties that can arise in adolescence. Psychoanalytic concepts and methodology frame the case study. Interpretative analysis of 14-year-old adolescent Eddie's words reveal the extent to which SK8 is his answer, in the Real, to the essential questions raised at this time of life: Who am I? What is death? What is sex? Aspects of physical education and sport that integrate this use of a physical, sporting, and artistic activity as signifier will be presented.
