Résumé

Introduction. - After the development of laparoscopic nephrectomy in living donor in 1995 and the trend towards robot-assisted laparoscopy since 1999, some teams have evaluated the contribution of these techniques in kidney transplantation. Methods. - A literature review was conducted compiling all clinical trials evaluating the robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery for nephrectomy in living donor and for kidney transplantation. Results. - Living donor robot-assisted nephrectomy has a very low morbidity and good long-term results in donors as well as in recipients. It improves postoperative pain. Gain with robotic surgery in kidney transplantation seems limited. The different series seem to highlight an interest in obese patients and/or under anticoagulants by reducing the parietal morbidity.
