Résumé | Objective. - The total orchidectomy is the gold standard treatment of testicular neoplasms. Increasingly testicular lesions are detected (infertility or incidental), but they are not all malignant. The aim of this work is to know when to avoid unnecessary total orchidectomy and when choose effect partial orchidectomy or supervision. Method. - A literature review was performed on the PubMed research base on testicular tumors, total and partial orchidectomies testicular surgery. Results. - All over centimeter lesions will be operated: total or partial orchiectomy with extemporaneous analysis according to ultrasonory examination. Infracentimeter lesions are treated on a case by case (ultrasonory monitoring or extemporaneous exeresis). Conclusion. - Partial testicular surgery is a valid option in patients selected and need cooperation between urologist, radiologist and pathologist. (C) 2015 Elsevier Masson SAS.
