Résumé

The goals of this study were to compare the levels of post-traumatic growth (PTG) in migrants living in France and in Brazil and to investigate the factors associated with it. Two hundred and three participants took part in the study, with 103 living in Brazil and 100 living in France. In France, low levels of PTG were reported while in Brazil moderate levels were identified. In both countries, lack of food was negatively related to PTG and worries about family in the home country was a positive predictor. In France, PTG was positively predicted by regular migratory status while post-traumatic stress disorder negatively predicted it.
