Résumé

This article questions the plurality of practices of law by fathers' rights movement both from the international - using the existing literature on this topic - and comparative perspective - using our research conducted in France and Quebec from 2008 to 2012 among separated fathers' associations. First, the article will identify in what ways family law and policy are a major issue in the emergence of fathers' right movement's claims. Then our comparative research will enable us to understand, not only the circulation of the law and its usages through French and Quebec associations of separated fathers but also the way the members of these groups use and view the law.
