Résumé | The Gallo-Roman town of Beneuvre (Cote-d'Or) is known and studied since the middle of nineteenth century. Many aerial photographies campaigns conducted by R. Goguey since the 1970s give us a huge amount of knowledge about the spatial organization of the town, but no other source of information was still coming complete the plan defined in 1994. Since 2013, new researches are being conducted on the town within the framework of a thesis on the Roman town of the Saone Valley (L. Gaetan) and a Collective Research Program (PCR) about the Roman towns of Burgundy, Franche-Comte and southern Champagne (dir. S. Venault et P. Nouvel). hanks to a major campaign of geophysical survey with a new aerial survey, it's a more detailed town's plan that can be restored now. About its chronology, it has evolved thanks to the establishment of a systematic field survey. Occupied from the 1st century B.C. to the 3rd century A.D., the roman town of Beneuvre presents a set of public and private buildings some are monumental, as the sanctuary. he presence of a protohistoric settlement is proved. |
