{The present study reports the publications issued in international, peer-reviewed journals by the French University physicians specialised in Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Peri Operative Medicine between the 1st of January 2010 and the 5th of May 2021. Methods > From the French SIGAPS database assessing medical publications, the publications authored by the University physicians belonging to the French College of Anaesthesia and Critical Care Teachers (CNEAR) were searched and analysed according to their rank (A to E), year of publication and position within the authors list. Results > Seven thousand six hundred and forty-four articles were published by 181 university physicians affiliated to the CNEAR: 3,724 (48%) in rank A (23%) or rank B (25%) journals. These articles were mainly published in intensive care medicine (2,821; 37%) or anaesthesiology (2437; 32%) specialised journals. Fifty-four articles were published in high-rank (called ``A+'') general medical journals (Journal of theAmericanMedicalAssociation [n = 25], New EnglandJournal of Medicine [n = 16] and The Lancet [n = 13]). The median number of publications per physician was 51 (minimal = 4, Interquartile [20-71]
