?Rituality versus Modernity ...? Rites, Cultural Identity and Globalization

In the post-modern era, it's possible to ask what have become of rites. These are considered symbolic social forms of tradition and of perpetuating institutions. Do these rites maintain a place and interest in our era and what has become of the spontaneity of the word of order? This article shows that the rites have evolved and have changed form and context. They retain fundamental functions for the communities that use them. At the same time, they are resistant to the processes of globalization.
