Résumé

One of the central issues holding back the critical achievement of electric vehicles is the durability of energy sources, which experience varying degrees of ageing. This paper starts from analysing the ageing mechanisms of two main energy sources used in electric vehicles, namely, Lithium-ion battery and Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC), and the main idea is to dynamically simulate the degradation by including both of the degradation models into the hybrid system. The capacity fade of the battery and the power degradation of the fuel cell are compared within different given charge and discharge bandwidths, which is prospective to find an optimal energy management strategy in order to improve the system durability and reduce the hydrogen consumption.
