Résumé | The forty-six issues of the journal Yggdrasill, which appeared between April 1936 and April 1940 under the direction of Raymond Schwab and others, testify to an extraordinary cultural openness with the presence of French poetry, but also of a whole series of poems from elsewhere, and sometimes from far away. The journal allows us to grasp some of the difficulties faced by the change of scale from national to global advocated today by some researchers. I consider some of these difficulties by looking at three figures of globality (cosmopolitanism, imperialism and universalism) in turn. |
