Résumé

The purpose of this article on Valle-Inclan's Flor de santidad is to study space in one of the novelist's early works. The article examines the novel's toponyms and their referential system, analyzes the relationships among the images of space themselves, and the connection between these images and the main characters of the narrative. This leads to the more general problematic of the interrelatedness of space and narrative: how and how far can spatial figures provide access into the work's deeper structures? (ELF and JML)
