Résumé | This paper presents a high-speed 3 kW 80 krpm surface-mounted permanent magnet (SMPM) motor for compressor applications. The design procedure using finite element analysis (FEA) is presented with a particular focus on the efficiency calculation. The paper also aims to give general indications to provide a cost-efficient solution. A prototype is built and experimental results are given and compared to the simulations. |
